October 21, 2023 - Quad State Conference  

VMTA is hosting Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire at the Brattleboro Music Center, in Brattleboro Vermont.

Artina McCain will be the Guest Artist and Keynote speaker. Currently, Artina is Associate Professor of Piano and Coordinator of the Keyboard Area at the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis and Co-Founder/Director of the Memphis International Piano Festival and Competition. Her full biography can be found here, at her website. 

In addition, VMTA member, Claire Black will share a recital/presentation on the music of Clara Schumann.

11:00 AM – 12 noon:  INTERSECTIONS: Guest Artist Recital

1:30 - 2:30 PM Concert of the Commissioned Composers including Evan Premo representing Vermont

2:45 PM Claire Black - a recital/presentation of the music of Clara Schumann

4:00 -5:00 PM Opportunity for a presentation or Recital by other Quad-State members
